How can we help?
Everything you need to know about Guitars to Glory.
Getting Started
How do I start playing?
Launch the app, name your band, pick a genre, and you're in. Your first gig is at a Backyard Party — just tap Play a Gig from Band Home and choose a venue.
What's the goal of the game?
Rise from a garage band to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Answer trivia, earn Fame, climb through 6 eras, and unlock 13 venues along the way. You need 500,000 Fame to reach the Hall of Fame.
Is there a time limit or energy system?
No. Guitars to Glory is turn-based — each activity counts as one "week" but there's no real-time pressure, no energy timers, and no waiting. Play at your own pace.
What does my genre choice affect?
Your chosen genre gives a 1.5x weight to questions related to that style. You'll see more questions about your genre, but you'll still get questions from all categories.
Gameplay
How does crowd energy work?
Each correct answer adds +12% energy, each wrong answer drops it by -15%. Your final energy level determines your star rating: 0–20% = 1 star, up to 81–100% = 5 stars. Higher stars mean bigger payouts and more Fame.
What is Double Down?
Once per gig, you can Double Down on any question. It doubles the crowd energy gain or loss for that question. You activate it after seeing the question but before the answer options appear. Use it when you're confident.
What are Lifelines?
Lifelines unlock as you progress to higher venues. Call Your Producer (Tier 3+) eliminates 2 wrong answers like a 50/50. Encore (Tier 4+) lets you undo a wrong answer and skip to the next question. Each can be used once per gig.
How do streaks work?
Consecutive correct answers build a streak that multiplies your Fame: 3+ answers = On Fire (1.10x), 5+ = Blazing (1.20x), 7+ = Inferno (1.35x), 10+ = Legendary (1.50x). A wrong answer resets your streak, but the Streak Shield (once per gig) will halve it instead of resetting to zero.
What does the Daily Bonus do?
Your first completed gig each calendar day gets a +25% bonus to both Fame and Cash. It resets at midnight local time. Look for the badge on the Play a Gig button.
Can I review questions I got wrong?
Yes. After any gig where you missed at least one question, you'll see a Review Mistakes option. It shows swipeable cards with each missed question and the correct answer highlighted. It's for learning only — no stat rewards.
Progression & Features
How do I unlock new venues?
Venues unlock based on your total Fame. Each era gives you access to up to 3 venues. Keep playing gigs, earning Fame, and you'll progress through all 7 tiers — from Backyard Parties to the Hall of Fame.
What is the reputation system?
Each venue tier tracks your reputation (0–100). Good performances raise it, bad ones lower it. Higher reputation means better payouts and higher starting crowd energy. If you bomb too many gigs at the same tier while Cold, you can get locked out temporarily.
I got locked out of a venue tier. What do I do?
Complete 3 successful gigs (3+ stars) at the tier below to recover. Your reputation resets to 25 (bottom of Neutral) at the locked tier. This is designed to be a temporary setback, not a permanent wall.
What are Albums and how do I record one?
Albums are milestone events that unlock at specific Fame thresholds — from your Demo EP (500 Fame) to a Legacy Album (500,000 Fame). Recording means answering 10 questions grouped into 5 tracks. Score 5+ correct to earn a rating from Bronze to Platinum, each giving a Fame bonus for the rest of that era.
What does gear do?
Gear is a 5-tier upgrade system purchased with Cash. It's a visual progression marker for your band — no stat bonuses. Upgrading is optional and gives your band a fresh look as you climb the ranks.
What happens after I reach the Hall of Fame?
The game continues in sandbox mode. You can keep playing gigs, recording albums, and climbing the leaderboards. The journey doesn't end — it just means you've made it to the top.
Technical & Troubleshooting
Is my progress saved automatically?
Yes. The game auto-saves after every question, lifeline use, and when you leave the app. If you close mid-gig and come back, you'll pick up exactly where you left off.
Can I reset my career?
Yes. Go to Settings → Reset Career. This is permanent and will erase all progress, stats, and albums. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.
Does the game work offline?
Yes. Guitars to Glory is fully offline — no internet connection required to play. Game Center features (leaderboards, achievements) need a connection to sync, but gameplay works anywhere.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. The game is universal and runs on both iPhone and iPad. iPad supports both portrait and landscape orientations with adapted layouts.
The game isn't making any sound.
Check that your device isn't on silent mode (the physical switch on the side). The game respects the iOS silent switch. Also check Settings in-game to make sure Sound Effects and Music are toggled on.
How much storage does the game use?
Guitars to Glory is lightweight with no large downloads or streaming assets. All trivia content, sounds, and artwork are bundled in the app.
